How do you get my permission?

When you provide personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, I imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason.

If I ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, I will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no or opt out (i.e. an "unsubscribe" button) .

How do you use Cookies?

Our Site may place and access certain first-party Cookies on your computer or device. First-party Cookies are those placed directly by us and are used only by us. We use Cookies to facilitate and improve your experience of Our Site and to provide and improve our services. We have carefully chosen these Cookies and have taken steps to ensure that your privacy and personal data is protected and respected at all times.

By using Our Site, you may also receive certain third-party Cookies on your computer or device. Third-party Cookies are those placed by websites, services, and/or parties other than us.  Third-party Cookies are used on Our Site for the purposes of our analytics and tracking.  These Cookies are not integral to the functioning of Our Site and your use and experience of Our Site will not be impaired by refusing consent to them.

All Cookies used by and on Our Site are used in accordance with current Cookie Law.

Before Cookies are placed on your computer or device, you will be shown a pop-up asking you to give your consent to set those Cookies. By consenting to the placing of Cookies you are enabling us to provide the best possible experience and service to you.

Our Site uses Facebook Pixel to provide targeted Facebook advertising for Our Site, Google and MailChimp analytics services.  These services will be provided by Facebook, Google and MailChimp respectively, or by other similar providers. Website analytics refers to a set of tools used to collect and analyse anonymous usage information, enabling us to better understand how Our Site is used. This, in turn, enables us to improve Our Site and the services offered through it.  These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

The above services used by Our Site use third party Cookies to gather the required information. You do not have to allow us to use these Cookies, however whilst our use of them does not pose any risk to your privacy or your safe use of Our Site, it does enable us to continually improve Our Site, making it a better and more useful experience for you.

In addition to the controls that we provide, you can choose to enable or disable Cookies in your internet browser. Most internet browsers also enable you to choose whether you wish to disable all Cookies or only third-party Cookies. By default, most internet browsers accept Cookies, but this can be changed. For further details, please consult the help menu in your internet browser or the documentation that came with your device.

You can choose to delete Cookies on your computer or device at any time, however you may lose any information that enables you to access Our Site more quickly and efficiently.

How do I withdraw my permission?

You may change your mind and decide to withdraw your consent for me to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by emailing info@rosannaclare.com

Disclosure

I may disclose your personal information, if required by law or court order to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Squarespace

This store is currently hosted on Squarespace, Inc.  They provide the online e-commerce platform that allows me to sell my products and services to you.

The credit and debit payment processing is currently accomplished through Stripe, Inc., a third-party processing service (stripe.com) that allows us to accept your payment online.

Your data may be stored through Squarespace's and/or Stripe's data storage, databases, and the general  Squarespace or Stripe application.

Payment

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Stripe stores your credit card data.  According to my best information, your data is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).  Your purchase transaction data should be stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.  After that is complete, your purchase transaction information should be deleted.

All direct payment gateways are required to adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

For more insight, you may also want to visit and review Squarespace's and/or Stripe's Terms of Service or Privacy Statement.

Third Party Services

In general, the third-party providers I use will only collect, use, and/or disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, I recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Once you leave this store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

Email Newsletters

As part of the registration process for my e-newsletter, I only collect an email address. I then use that to tell you about new products, projects and seasonal offers, or to contact you if I need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are correct. I do not rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

I use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver my newsletter. I gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails.
