Rosanna Clare creates beautifully crafted leather bags, accessories, and homeware, combining a love of leather with a strong commitment to reducing waste. She works primarily with discarded leather from the furniture industry and upcycled items such as jackets and sofas, alongside sustainably sourced new leather from Italy, Spain, and Belgium.All pieces are handmade in her home studio near Colchester, Essex. Rosanna also shares her expertise through leather-craft workshops for individuals, groups, and corporate clients, including Soho House and Spotify. THE STUDIO
After nearly a decade of running my leather craft business, I’ve finally got my very own studio — right at the bottom of my garden in Wivenhoe, near Colchester in north Essex.
I made the move in October 2024, leaving my rented space in Ardleigh behind. When the rent jumped 50% in just two months, it turned out to be the perfect nudge to create my dream workspace — and now my commute is just a few steps from the house!
Wivenhoe is a beautiful estuary town just south of Colchester, with great transport links and a creative buzz thanks to a large population of artists with a popular, bi-annual Art Trail.
I can’t wait to welcome you to my new studio soon! ✨
